We support La Transformerie and its project "Les Rescapés" (the survivors). This project helps reduce food waste and makes use of unsold produce in grocery stores.
Les Rescapés are high-quality spreads made from unsold fruit and vegetable, and their recipes are developed by chef Guillaume Cantin.
We contribute directly to the production of these spreads by delivering our unsold fruit and vegetable to La Transformerie each week. We then showcase these products in the fruit and vegetable departments of our stores.
Our Mayrand Food Depot store in Anjou is equipped with a new artificial intelligence system for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, in partnership with Brain Box AI.
This technology allows us to manage the store's energy footprint more carefully and reduce its carbon footprint.
